Description
- Sterile semi-permeable hydrocolloid dressings
- Provides a moist healing environment for wounds
- Non-adherent gel that does not damage the wound when removing the dressing
- Waterproof and antibacterial
- Transparent surface for easy monitoring of wound condition
-
When in contact with the wound, the hydrocolloid particles gradually absorb the exudate, forming a moist gel and favoring healing in terms of humidity, temperature and pH
Instructions for use
- Rinse and clean the wound with normal saline first, and pat dry the surrounding skin
- Make sure the Algoplaque chosen is large enough to allow 2 to 3 cm of dressing overlap with healthy skin around the wound
- Remove the protective film and apply Algoplaque to the wound, making sure not to touch the area with your fingers
- Gently wraps the dressing smoothly over the wound and more firmly covers the edges around the skin
To ensure good adhesion and protection, in case of incontinence, it should be as flat as possible
For non-infected wounds, it is recommended to replace Algoplaque on average every 3 to 4 days (depending on the amount of exudate) and then replace Algoplaque Thin when the wound is in the epithelialization phase (replace every 4 to 6 days)
Algoplaque can be removed by pulling on both sides of the dressing, and slowly lifting and gently removing from the wound (tangential removal)
