Optiskin® Film is composed of a thin film of polyurethane covered with a transparent film.
Sterile, semi-permeable adhesive dressing forms a protective barrier between the wound and the exterior.
BEFORE TREATMENT:
- Wash hands thoroughly
- If necessary, remove hair using a surgical shaver to ensure good adhesion of the dressing
- Stop any flow of blood from the wound
- Disinfect the wound or the intrusion zone.
- Rinse and dry carefully.
DRESSING APPLICATION:
1. Remove the sterile film from the pouch
2. Remove the first protective paper tab and present the adhesive part to the skin
3. Apply one half of the film on the skin so that the catheter is centered
4. Smooth down the dressing from the center towards the edges
5. Remove the second paper tab and apply the other half of the film without tension
6. Carefully smooth down the whole dressing so that it adheres properly
7. Remove the two transparent protective tabs
8. The adhesive film can stay in place for up to 5 days
DRESSING REMOVAL:
1. Detach one of the corners by pulling, but never perpendicular to the skin. Hold the dressing using the other hand, placed flat against it.
2. Remove Optiskin Film by taking the opposite parts already detached and pulling, but never perpendicular to the skin.

- stop any bleeding from the wound
- Disinfect the wound
Use thin film:
- Remove the sterile membrane from the bag
- Remove the first protective paper card and place the adhesive part on the skin
- Apply half of the film to the skin, centering the catheter
- Dress smoothly from the center towards the edges
- Remove the second sheet of paper
- Carefully smooth the entire dressing for proper adhesion
- Remove the two transparent protective sheets
- Adhesive film stays in place for up to 5 days
Connection disassembly:
- Detach a corner by pulling, but not perpendicular to the skin. Hold the dressing with your other hand and place it over it.
- Remove the Optiskin membrane, take the opposite part that has separated and pull, but not perpendicular to the skin.
